The Grounds of Alexandria / Café recommendation

One of my absolute favourite cafés in Sydney

Honestly, if you only have the time to visit one café in Sydney, go to The Grounds of Alexandria.
It’s even more than a café but is simultaneously really hard to describe because it resembles a building complex with not only said café but a flower shop, a pizzeria, a take away space for coffee and cake and a part where they have actual farm animals.  The interior design is just lovely as well. You step from the streets of Alexandria (which is one stop by train from Sydney Central) into a space full of succulents and light. Really makes you forget that you are almost in the CBD of Australia’s largest city. Not to mention you walk past an incredibly charming vintage shop if you’re walking from the station… If I could only bring all of the stuff I would like to buy there home :D

I’ve tried the berry and coconut smoothie for take away, mozarella cheese and tomato salad and I also almost had a strawberry tarte (if I hadn’t dropped it on the floor before I could take my first bite). My friend Jasper (@jasper_kpt on insta) had Gnocci which were great as well but I feel like you can’t really go wrong with anything there. Not to mention they decorate your food with edible flowers which makes great photos!
